The feeling of being grounded…

It is getting more difficult to stay grounded. If you manage to keep yourself grounded then others around you try to make sure you have lofty ambitions. Furthermore, a simple glance at other’s Facebook profiles makes you see your own limitations and all you want to do is not to be content with where you are in life but to be that person, who you could possibly have been.

Another downside of the  feeling of being grounded for long periods of time are often equated with feelings of being trapped as you are try to be so content with your surroundings but are slowly feeling restless at the same time. Furthermore, the feeling of being grounded for extended periods of time prevent you from dreaming about the possibilities.

On the other hand, the feeling of being grounded is great in small measures because it enables you to attend to day to day affairs with ease and allows you to be present.  I value the feeling of being grounded in a country as diverse as India when one is amidst the haves as well as have-nots. I value this feeling more and more, especially being in a country like India because this feeling of being grounded goes hand in hand with the feeling of having perspective of where you are in life.
